These physicians, dietitians, and exercise specialists will create – and help you stick with – a program to reach your weight loss goal and develop a healthier lifestyle.
Regular exercise will
help maintain your
new healthy lifestyle.
A Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) is a restricted eating plan that helps you accelerate your weight loss. In addition to losing weight, you can also experience improvements in medical conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, Cholesterol and others. While on this plan, you’ll enjoy nutritional supplements that replace grocery foods so you can focus on learning new healthier behaviors. In some cases, a VLCD may include nutritional supplements and one meal. If you’re at least 30 to 40 pounds overweight, you may be a good candidate for a VLCD.
“VLCDs, when used under proper medical supervision, effectively produce significant weight loss in patients who are moderately to extremely obese”
NIDDK,a division of the
National Institute of Health
A Low Calorie Diet (LCD) meal plans have been uniquely designed to combine grocery foods with protein enhanced products to provide optimum nutrition for healthy weight loss. The balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates found in our meal plans are not typically achievable in reduced calorie meal plans, therefore you can experience a greater impact on weight loss. We stock many great tasting healthy protein snacks bars, fruit drinks, hot drinks and entrees in a variety of flavors.
The Hybrid Diet (Ketogenic Diet) Consists of high protein and low carbohydrate foods. The amount of protein to be consumed by the patient is calculated by using the patients goal weight. Therefore the patient is in a state called Ketosis. In Ketosis the body breaks down fat using it as fuel to create energy in the body and increasing the patients metabolism, which in turn helps the patient to lose weight.
Maintenance Program: Maintenance is the most important part of any program. In this Phase you will be monitored to make sure all the education and life style changes you made during the losing Phase is continued. By the time you reach maintenance you will have incorporated all the tools NSW has given you. At New Start Wellness we believe in talking about Maintenance starting day one. This is the goal. In maintenance you will still be weighed weekly, receive weekly behavior module’s concerning maintaining your weight along with your Lipotropic injections.
